Chairman pays tribute to former councillor

Tributes have today been paid to former Wyre Forest District Council member John Holden who sadly passed away last night.

He served on Wyre Forest District Council, representing the Mitton Ward from 2004 – 2012 and again from 2014-2015.

He also represented Stourport-on-Severn on Worcestershire County Council and was a serving Stourport Town Councillor for Stour and Wilden Ward.

Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council Councillor David Little said:

“Everyone at Wyre Forest District Council was saddened to hear the news today. John was very well known in the local community for his dedication to the people of Stourport. He will be sorely missed.

“We send his family and friends our sincere condolences at this very sad time.”
