The Outdoor Theatre at Bewdley museum will be staging performances for all ages this summer.

Up first is Heartbreak Productions version of Billionaire Boy, the best seller by David Walliams.  The story follows Mr Spud and his son Joe as he becomes the richest boy in the world.  The show is on Sunday 11 June and gets underway at 4pm.

Later in the summer Quantum Theatre will be performing a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations.  Orphan Pip becomes a gentleman when his life is transformed by a mystery benefactor. This classic is great entertainment for all but also an excellent study resource for students! The show is on Saturday 29 July from 7.30pm.

International singing group Tenuto will be performing on Saturday 19 August.  The local trio have three very different voices and their varied repertoire includes pop, opera and some musical theatre! The performance on Saturday 19 August promises to be delivered with style, charm, panache and fun.  It gets underway at 7.30pm.

Alison Bakr, Bewdley Museum Manager said:

“We are delighted to be welcoming these quality performers to our Outdoor Theatre.  It is a wonderful setting and adds another element to the productions.  We ask anyone who comes along to bring a rug or low backed chair to sit on and they can bring along a picnic too! If people prefer to be catered for the Shambles cafe will be open offering seasonal favourites and the museum shop will also be open for gifts. ”

Tickets cost £12 adults, £8 children (under 14) or £38 for a family ticket (2 adults 2 children). They are available to book online or call Bewdley TIC on 0845 607 7819.
