A taste of the Wild West is coming to Stourport this summer.20180808Countryandwesternfest

The free two-day Country and Western festival comes to Riverside Meadows, Stourport on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August. There will be a variety of live bands and stalls along with line dancing demonstrations and a fast draw shoot out.

Entertainment kicks off at 11am on both days. Saturday’s acts include Daniel Berry, Annalee West, Rob Child and Roots ‘n’ Wings. On Sunday there will be performances from Chris Meeza, Martin Jaye and Streamline.

Councillor Juliet Smith, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection said: “The Country and Western Festival has become a permanent fixture in our events calendar after years and years of success. This summer’s programme features a great line-up of acts and activities to keep all the family entertained.”

Camping pitches are available on Riverside Meadows, Stourport-on-Severn from £15 per night. They are available from 2pm on Friday 17 August until 10am Monday 20 August. Pitches must be booked in advance at www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/bookings.

The Country and Western Festival is a free event organised by Wyre Forest District Council with support from Hickmans of Kidderminster.
