Residents to have their say on community safety meetings

Residents in Wyre Forest are being urged to complete a short survey about community safety meetings in the district.

Officers from Wyre Forest District Council want as many people as possible to complete the short online survey as part of a review of Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings.

PACT meetings operate across the district providing a forum for local organisations such as the council, police and community groups and residents to meet and raise local community safety issues affecting neighbourhoods. 

Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee Councillor Helen Dyke, who is chairing the PACT Review Panel, said: “PACT meetings have been running in various parts of the district for more than 10 years.

“They provide an opportunity for local residents and community groups to come together on a regular basis to raise any concerns about a whole range of issues, from antisocial behaviour to local crime.

“We want to make sure members of the public are aware of the meetings and give people the opportunity to say how they would like to raise concerns or make suggestions for keeping our neighbourhoods safe.

“I would like to encourage everyone to take a few minutes to complete the survey and make their views known.”
