Want to live life greener? Then don’t miss out on a free event that celebrates sustainable living!

The Greener Living Fair organised by Wyre Forest District Council springs into life on Saturday 10 February at Kidderminster Town Hall from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

A wide range of organisations will be on hand to provide useful information and advice on all things green. The Fair welcomes Severn Trent, Kemp Hospice Up Cyclers, Severn Waste, Wyre Forest Rangers, Worcestershire’s ‘Greengineering’ and Kidderminster’s Beekeepers to name but a few.

There will also be an opportunity to bring along broken, damaged or torn items for free advice by the volunteers at The Repair Cafe. Your craft needs will also be met by the Sewing Repair Team who will be running free workshops throughout the day and you can even find out about eco-friendly funerals.

A range of upcycled goods and Traidcraft/Fairtrade products will be on sale along with delicious plant-based food brought to you by the Vegan caterers. Free Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate will also be available.

You’ll also have the chance to win a free thermal imaging survey of your house, worth £100, along with one month’s free Family Membership at Wyre Forest Leisure Centre by simply filling out a feedback form at the event.

Councillor Chris Rogers, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Housing said:

“The Greener Living Fair proved to be a hugely popular event last year. It’s great to see the local community engaging with environmentally conscious organisations that support and enable a greener more sustainable world. We look forward to seeing you in February.”
