Residents can learn all about living a healthier lifestyle by joining in a day of fun!Familyfunday

The Family Fun Day event comes to Kidderminster Youth House, Bromsgrove Street on Thursday 26 July from 10.30am-2.30pm.

A wide range of organisations from around the district are coming together to offer advice on a variety of health related topics. Health professionals from the NHS will be promoting a range of top-tips including: breastfeeding support and showing fussy eaters how to be sugar smart. Wyre Forest 10:32 will also showcase their healthy eating H.E.N.R.Y (health, exercise and nutrition for the really young) programme.

An afternoon of activities will be taking place with a Zumba taster session from 11am-12.30pm, story time at 11am – 1pm and exercise with OneFitMama at 11.30am-1pm. Attendees will also have the chance to jump on a smoothie bike and make their own healthy drink.

Alongside the activities, advice and information stalls there is an opportunity to win a fruit hamper, win a free one month Wyre Forest Leisure Centre pass and take part in craft activities.

Councillor Chris Rogers, Cabinet Member for Housing, Health and Wellbeing said: “This fun, interactive event is one for all the family. There will be a number of organisations on hand to give you tips and hints to improve your overall health.

“It also coincides with our current 5 Ways to Wellbeing topic, Keep Learning. Throughout June and July we’re promoting the power of learning and all its benefits.”
