Grab yourself a garden waste offer this Christmas!

Gardeners in Wyre Forest can treat themselves this Christmas by taking advantage of Wyre Forest District Council’s latest brown bin offer.

The council is running a special promotion from Monday 3 December to Wednesday 19 December by waiving the £20 one-off start up fee as well as £5 off the yearly collection charge for new garden waste customers!

A full year’s service for a large 240 litre bin will cost just £43.50. The service operates from March to December and during a full season includes a minimum of 20 fortnightly collections – at just £2.17 per fortnight.

Residents with smaller gardens will also receive a £25 discount by getting a 140 litre bin for £27 or 20 collections for £1.35 each.

The service provides a hassle-free way of getting rid of garden waste. This includes grass cuttings, hedge and shrub clippings, weeds, cut flowers, leaves, twigs and bark.

Councillor Rebecca Vale, Cabinet Member for Operational Services said: “Our garden waste service has become more and more popular with residents.

“Having a garden waste collection can save you time, money and the inconvenience of taking your garden waste to the tip – you will also do your bit for the environment. And income generated from garden waste is reinvested into front-line council services.”

Collections will resume in March 2019 and finish in December 2019.
