Improvement works at Wyre Forest District Council’s historic depot site in Kidderminster are nearing completion.

Work on the Depot 2020 scheme, which involves replacing inefficient and poor quality offices and bringing back to life two historic Listed Buildings is due to finish this month.

As well as continuing to be a base for a number of operational services, including the council’s fleet of refuse and other vehicles, the site in Green Street will also become home to The Hub which will move from Kidderminster Town Hall.

The move will not only bring customer advice, revenues and benefits and housing advice teams together to offer a full service on one site, it will also for the first time, offer disabled car parking places for residents who need to visit in person.

The Hub will close to visitors two hours earlier than usual, at 3pm on Friday 6 September and re-open to visitors at Green Street an hour later than usual at 10am on Monday 9 September.

People will still be able to call for advice until 5pm on Friday and from 9am on Monday on the usual advice line 01562 732928.
