Gardeners in Wyre Forest can rejoice as the annual garden waste collection service restarts on Monday 2 March for the 10th year!

Wyre Forest District Council’s fortnightly kerbside collections are the simplest, cleanest and most hassle-free way of disposing of garden waste for one easy annual payment of £49.50 for a 240ltr bin, and £34 for a 140ltr bin.

To celebrate 10 years of the service, the council is offering all new garden waste customers £10 off the usual £20 joining fee until Friday 6 March.

During this period all existing garden waste customers can enjoy 10% off the hire of a Jumbo Bin. To take advantage of this offer simply use ‘Spring 2020’ at checkout.

The garden waste service starts on Monday 2 March for those that are week 1 and Monday 9 March for week 2. The subscription will run until the last week of November for week 1 customers and the first week of December for week 2 customers.

Please note we are no longer printing and sending out collection calendars. You will be able to check your collection day online.

Councillor John Thomas, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services said: “Thousands of residents use our garden waste service and I’m delighted we’ve hit the 10 year milestone!

“To celebrate we’ve got a number of great offers and customers can have peace of mind knowing all the garden waste we collect is turned into compost so it is great for the environment.

“We also reinvest all the income generated from the service back into frontline council services to benefit all who live, work and visit Wyre Forest.”
