Community groups in Wyre Forest are being asked to put themselves forward for a free stall at an upcoming Volunteer Fair in Kidderminster.

The event celebrating the work of the district’s unsung heroes comes to Kidderminster Town Hall on Thursday 26 March. Volunteers who have a stall at the Fair will be able to promote their organisation with the possibility of attracting new recruits.

Building on the success of previous volunteer fairs, Wyre Forest District Council has partnered with Kidderminster College, The Department for Work and Pensions and Vestia.

The fair will start at 10am and finish at 2pm and will also include a special CV skills workshop.

Councillor Nicky Martin, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Health, Wellbeing and Democratic Services said: “Our annual volunteer fairs are a great way to find out about the various volunteering opportunities we currently have in Wyre Forest.

“It is hoped this event will raise awareness about the wide range of causes being tackled by people at the heart of our community. I urge any groups, big or small, to apply for a stall at our Kidderminster event today by applying online at www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/volunteerfair before Friday 14 February 2019.”
