The ever-popular Country and Western Festival is returning to Riverside Meadows, Stourport-on-Severn this August.

The FREE event has been organised by Wyre Forest District Council over the weekend of Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August.

Country and Western Flyer 2017The entertainment kicks off at 11am on both days.  Saturday’s acts include Amy Morgan, Tom Collins, Donna Wlyde and Twin Falls.  On Sunday there will be performances from Chris James, Kezia Gill and Texas Tornadoes.

Between the live music there will be a DJ to keep visitors dancing. Other entertainment includes a fast draw shoot out, face painting and children’s rides. There will also be refreshments, trade stalls and a licensed bar. 

Councillor Juliet Smith, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection said:

“The Country and Western Festival has become a firm favourite in WFDC’s event line up for the summer.  The two-day event has gone from strength to strength and now attracts Country and Western fans from far and wide. The event is always lively and is perfect for a family day out.

We’re encouraging people to come along dressed for the occasion in Country and Western outfits. We’d also love to see your photos of the event on social media.  Don’t forget to tag the council!”

There are camping pitches available from £15 per night on the Riverside Meadows, Stourport-on-Severn. They are available from 2.00pm on Friday 18  August until 10.00am Monday 20 August.
