Tributes have today been paid to former Wyre Forest District Councillor Arthur Buckley who sadly passed away at home on Thursday (6 July).

The Vice Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council Councillor John Campion paid tribute to former Councillor Buckley, who served on the district council on two occasions.

Councillor Buckley represented Habberley and Blakebrook Ward from 2004-2006, returning to WFDC in 2008 to represent the Wribbenhall Ward until 2012. During his terms of office he sat on both planning and licensing committees. He also served as a Charter Trustee of Kidderminster for two years.

Councillor Campion said: “It is with great sadness that we learned of Councillor Buckley’s passing. I would like to send his family and friends the sincere condolences of everyone here at Wyre Forest District Council.

“Many of his former colleagues and members of staff have fond memories of his time on the council. And I’d like to place on record my personal thanks for all he did for the communities he represented while serving on the council.”
