Local traders are being offered the chance to have a stall at some of the district’s favourite free events.

Wyre Forest District Council is looking for more trade stalls to attend events it has organised at Brinton Park, Stourport riverside and Bewdley Museum.  The events include the Spring Fair at Bewdley Museum on 30 April and Monday 1 May, the Rock and Roll Festival on Sunday 4 June and the Outdoor Cinema Event on Sunday 27 August.  A full list of the available events can be found on the Council’s website www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/tradestall.  Information about events at Bewdley Museum is available from www.bewdleymuseum.co.uk/tradestall

Linda Draycott, Director of Community, Well-being and Environment at Wyre Forest District Council said:

“Our events attract thousands of visitors and so this is a superb way for a trader to highlight their business.   It is a cost-effective form of advertising and because our events are family focussed there is an extremely varied target audience. Traders help the local community too, as any income the Council generates from stall holders is reinvested into services to benefit all who live, work and visit Wyre Forest.”

Interested stall holders should complete an enquiry form on www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/tradestall. The Council will choose a variety of stalls for its events.  The selection will depend on the event but will include stalls selling handmade crafts, artwork, gifts and locally sourced products. Everyone who has made an enquiry will be contacted to let them know whether their stall can be accommodated.  The cost of the stall will depend on the event and payments should be made online. The Council is not looking for fast food and drink stalls.  All stall holders must have Public Liability Insurance and carry out a risk assessment
