Nightmare at the museum!

A frighteningly good time is promised at Bewdley Museum this Halloween as it presents a week of spooky activities and its Family Fright Night.

There will be plenty of spooky goings on at the museum on Saturday 28 October.  The fun starts at 5pm then at 5.30pm Funtime Theatre will be presenting ‘Snow White and the curse of Frankenstein.’

There will be a disco until 7.30pm and a fancy dress competition for children and adults.  You can take along your own carved pumpkin, but please use battery operated lights rather than naked flames.  Other activities include apple bobbing, scary skittles and a spooky trail around the museum. 

Councillor Juliet Smith, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection said:

“This is great way for all the family to enjoy Halloween in a safe environment.  We’re encouraging families to get dressed up and come along for a spooktacular time!”

Tickets cost £5 per person or £17.50 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children.) They can be bought online from www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/bookings or from the museum, which is open everyday 10am-4.30pm.

The events ends at 8pm and is recommended for children aged 12 and under.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Throughout half term week (Monday 23 – Friday 27 October) there will be children’s Halloween themed craft activities.  They can create all sorts of things, from bat boxes to vampire capes and much more.
