Nearly 77,000 people in the Wyre Forest district are on the newly published Register of Electors. A total of 76,881 electors are listed which represents a slight decrease of 350 (0.45%) since the register was compiled in December 2017.

In July, Wyre Forest District Council posted forms to register to vote to all residential letterboxes in the district.  In the following months the authority also sent out reminder letters and canvassers called at homes where a form had not been returned to the council.  Messages reminding people to register to vote were also posted on social media.

Electoral Registration Officer, Ian Miller, said:

“While the Register of Electors has now been published, we are still encouraging people to make sure they are registered for future elections.  There will be elections for all seats on Wyre Forest District Council next May and there will be elections in all parish councils apart from Kidderminster Town Council.  It is now really easy to register because it can be done online.”

Any person living in Wyre Forest who is aged 18 or has moved into the area and is not currently included in the published Register of Electors can register by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

They can also call 01562 732733 or visit the customer service centre at Kidderminster Town Hall.
