Schools will soon be out for the summer so take a look at all the great things Wyre Forest District Council has organised to help keep the children entertained.

The summer activities programme kick-starts on Tuesday 24 July with a 4-day tennis course costing £15 at Stourport Tennis and Squad Club. Participants will learn to serve, lob, and smash like Murray. There will also be an opportunity to put new and improved skills to the test in fun competitions and matches.

The fun won’t stop there with many more activities for youngsters of all ages taking place all over the district, including: bat night at Hurcott Pool, duathlon at Stourport Sports Club and numerous craft workshops at Bewdley Museum.

This year’s programme will be exclusively online with easy-to-navigate web pages and digital booking.

Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection, Councillor Juliet Smith said: “It’s great to see the whole range of events organised for children this summer. From various art sessions to sport classes there really is something for everyone.

“This year also marks the first time we’ve only had an online programme. Make sure you take a look at the new modern format and see all the activities put together for people who live, work and visit Wyre Forest.”
