This annual evening of celebration takes place every January and honours local individuals, coaches, volunteers, clubs and schools in recognition of their talent, commitment and hard work in helping people of all ages and abilities access sport and physical activity.

The awards — organised by Wyre Forest District Council — are organised into nine categories:  junior sportsman, junior sportswoman, junior team of the year, coach of the year, senior sportsman, senior sportswoman, disability sportsperson, unsung hero and club of the year.

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to a special ceremony at Kidderminster Town Hall on Tuesday 15 January 2019. The event is sponsored by Kidderminster Town Council but there are also opportunities available to sponsor the awards for just £100 per award.
